Aspire to Achieve

Our Aspire to Achieve (A2A) course is a programme for young people who have high support needs on entry. Students will have a range of Special Education needs and Disabilities and an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP). They may need additional support to engage or re-engage with learning to prepare them to progress to their next step.

Our A2A programme is taught at a range of levels. The flexibility of the course means that every student will have a personalised programme, learning at a level which is most appropriate to their individual needs to enable progression from their stating point. It is a fully integrated programme comprising a personalised combination of qualifications and college-accredited (RARPA) learning.

Youth Inspired has high expectations of all students, whatever their starting point. Students are supported to develop their independence as learners, increase their confidence and improve their personal and social skills. They will gain wider skills for work, which may be a stepping-stone towards or supported employment.

A2A prepares students for adulthood by enabling them to gain independence in their every day to day lives through the development of both their practical and communication skills, as well as improving their English and maths.

We take an holistic approach towards learning and monitor progression and achievement towards outcomes. The key focus of the A2A programme is on personal progress.

Inspired

Our Inspired Programme is part of the Youth Inspired family. We offer a broad range of day opportunities for adults over 18 with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions.

We work with our clients to create a person-centred weekly programme, which meets their individual needs.

Our provision runs for 48 weeks per year, 5 days a week. We pride ourselves on supporting our clients to develop and maintain skills used in everyday life.

We offer a menu of activities throughout the week which focuses on independent living skills, communication, and social skills, building friendships and developing work skills.

We take a person-centred approach giving our clients the opportunity to choose the days they want to attend. Clients have an allocated keyworker who works closely with them to reach their full potential and personal goals.

We offer activity-based days that focus on communication, social skills, team building and friendships and developing work skills.

The Cafe

Our Social Café is not just a cafe, it is a place to meet, eat and learn.  It forms part of the offer we deliver to teach our learners and clients Customer Service, Food Hygiene and Preparation skills.  This builds confidence, self-esteem and supports them when looking to move into work or volunteering as well as much needed lifeskills.

The Cafe gives the learners and clients at Youth Inspired a place to socialise with each other and be together in a safe and comfortable environment.
